Windows 7 – Stop Windows from Resizing to Fullscreen

28 March 2011 at 12:46 pm Leave a comment

The issue is the windows sometimes annoyingly resize themselves when you try and move the window around the desktop/workspace. I know if you give the window a wobble it will resize to full window, but sometimes you only have to move the window across your desktop and windows must think I want it to enlarge to fullscreen which I dont its annoying.

I think this is what you are asking for

To turn Snap on or off
1. In Control Panel, Click to open Ease of Access Center.
2. Under Explore all settings , click Make the mouse easier to use .
3. Under Make it easier to manage windows , do one of the following:
*To turn Snap off, select the Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen check box.
*To turn Snap on, clear the Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen check box.
4. Click OK .
